Metrology is the science of measurement, measurements techniques and measurements analysis. Metrologists assists Tool Makers and Tool Designers to accomplish geometrical accuracies required in quality tool making.

They use sophisticated, highly accurate electronic measuring equipment to determine whether a product is within the specified product tolerances.

These machines use sensitive probes to measures a part’s dimensional accuracy and allow metrologists to analyse the results with dedicated computer software.
