Employment Recruiters work in recruitment companies or human resource departments. Their job is to recruit and screen prospective employees or match job seekers with available employment opportunities. They maintain contacts in the business and civil community to inform the public about possible jobs.

Recruiters also travel to find job applicants. They interview and test the possible applicants and score the results. These test help them screen and select applicants.

Employment Recruiters review applicants’ resumes and other paperwork. They evaluate their qualifications and check references. For some jobs, they may run background checks. After thorough background checks they can make recommendations to the staff who make the hiring decisions. In addition, Recruiters must stay informed about labour legislation especially with regards to black economic empowerment and equal opportunity.
